There is nothing I like more than a large music festival taking place in a small town. Not only does it give the festival a different feel, but it also provides as an excellent economic stimulus to the place in which the concert is taking place. One excellent example of this is the Reading Festival, with for about the last 40 years has consistently brought hundreds of thousands of people together in the small town of Reading, year in and year out.
Clearly, it is not only the small town which benefits from the yearly influx of people. The people selling Reading Festival tickets are also stimulating the economy through the revenue they receive. And for a popular event such as this one, the level of revenue running through the bank accounts is heavily significant. So, if you are considering heading on over to the small town of Reading in southern England this August, make sure you have a ticket before you depart. Seat Wave is your best bet. This is because 2009 is the first year where ticket sales will not be made at the gates. So unless you are visiting for sightseeing only, you may want to take my advice.
